A complex and highly sensitive site on the shores of Lake Windermere.

THAA was commissioned to design a replacement boathouse with self-contained living accommodation, carefully positioned to overlook the lake and its spectacular mountain backdrop. The proposal responds sensitively to its exceptional setting, creating a contemporary building that complements the surrounding landscape while maximising the breathtaking views across the water.
