Hexham apartments

We were approached to test the viability of an industrial site in the centre of Hexham on Haugh Lane. The client wanted to build two apartment buildings on the site of an existing Nissan car dealership.

At ground level one building will comprise of a new car dealership with showroom and ancillary office space, whilst the adjacent building will provide undercroft car parking for its residents off Burn Lane.

The upper floors will comprise of nine 2 bed apartments, with larger units on the top floor, set back from the street. A private communal garden for residents is proposed to the rear of the site.

Both buildings will be of a light gauge steel construction, clad in brick and zinc.
