low ford MORPETH

A new build residence in a desirable part of Morpeth fronting the River Wansbeck. Situated in an area prone to flooding, the planners stipulated that flood protection measures needed to be adopted, resulting in a substantial boundary wall. As a result, in order to allow views to the river, the property needed to be built on an elevated plateau which resulted in the garage, games room and plantroom being located in a basement under the house.

This executive contemporary home comprises of four bedrooms with open plan living. The building is clad in red brick in line with the local vernacular, with the upper floor wrapped in a copper standing seam finish.

Ample glazing at ground floor in the form of a wall of bifold doors and large sliders in the master bedroom offer spectacular views of the river Wansbeck.
