devil’s arrowS holiday lodges boroughbridge

THAA were commissioned to design a holiday park on an agricultural site in North Yorkshire. The field to the north of the application site has an alignment of prehistoric standing stones known locally as the Devil’s Arrows.

One of the stones is located within the application site to the northwest of the field in a wooded area within the grounds of a private residence called Bar House. To the west is the core of Boroughbridge, a designated conservation area. To the east of the application Site is the A168 which runs parallel with the A1(M) motorway.

The site can accommodate 14 no. high-end luxury lodges and 2 ancillary buildings designed to have low impact foundations.

The landscape strategy looks to enhance the bio-diversity of the site with wildflower planting and mown grass footpaths.
