As part of an estate wide masterplan for Close House Country Club, THAA developed the design for a new golf clubhouse working in collaboration with Space Architects.

The building sits in the grounds of a privately owned 18th century mansion. Offering spectacular views across the Tyne Valley the club house is home to the restaurant No.19 and club shop.

The historical nature of the site demanded an architectural solution which was both traditional and contemporary, utilising stone and standing seam copper detailing.

The Close House Hotel has two 18-hole golf course, a driving range and golf academy.
